When Rammstein was playing in Helsinki in 2012, they invited Apocalyptica to play "Mein Herz brennt" with them on stage. Apocalyptica has also played with them on some other concerts around the world. Apocalyptica also did a collaboration with Sabaton and have been touring with them too. As a Finn, I find it curious how people have heard about Apocalyptica but not Nightwish, but maybe their music has a wider audience, or the collaborations make them to be noticed more?
