Oh also, as someone who watched all of Son of Zorn *and* as someone in visual effects, what you had to do sounds insane. I guess if they wanted to see how the set lighting would look on someone of that mass they made you wear the suit? I don't recall the animation being that integrated to the sets. Anyway, wow.
