2025-09-23 00:21:31 +0000 UTCWhile your heart is absolutely in the right place and I will still say standing by your morals is good for you personal reasons, unfortunately I don't think boycotts from subscription services are going to have enough of a wide scale impact to do anything to fix it. On top of that and maybe more of the bigger issue is that I don't believe enough people are willing to give up their personal entertainment for a bigger cause. While most people are generally compassionate about these things and tend to skew left, too many people are caught up in their own daily exhaustions to have the energy or the want to sacrifice their "thing" that is letting them not think about the exhausting nature of their job and the current hellscape unfolding. As someone who is very into games and movies, people are very hell bent on drawing the line on things until it means they have to sacrifice the thing they love. As someone who is trans I've seen this too much with media :/

Regardless, I had a question for you about Patreon being a stronghold in the sense you are talking about. Do you think we could see an uptick of free options on different content creators Patreons because this website stays firm in not bending the knee and being a safe place for leftist to post their content? I mainly ask because if that were to happen, do you think Patreon would then be getting focused more by the bastards in charge? or the fact that all of Patreons revenue comes from people paying into their content creators that they would be able to maintain out the fascists sights regardless?
