Initial Color Correction of Minnie the Moocher (1932)
Added 2021-06-09 17:55:47 +0000 UTCI have a 35mm print of Minnie the Moocher, which I recently had a 4k scan done. It was reportedly made from a fine-grain master (though I have my doubts). Though the print itself is relatively recent (8 years-old), all the problems with the master have been captured including dust/dirt/scratches and other damage, splices, and image fading/degrading.
Here is my initial pass at color correcting the opening the sequence. This is color correction only and no flicker reduction, noise reduction, scratch reduction.
