About Fan/non-OC Art chars and pics

You probably have heard about some artists having issues with art that contains fan/non-OC characters on Patreon. From one side it doesn't make much sense that these problems exist since Patreon is based on donations, but from the other side I can see how the "paywalls" can cause an issue by locking content away. So despite all my content being free, this may cause issues for me as well. So just to play it safe and get rid of that potential problem, fan/non-OC art content won't be posted here at all, if I make a pic it will be posted directly on the other public sites so there is no relation to payments, paywalls or lockdowns whatsoever. So I'll just draw such art on my free time with no connections to Patreon.
In short words, to avoid any sort of issue with Patreon and such, all fan/non-OC art content won't be posted here at all, but every now and I'll draw some on my free time and you can see them on my other galleries without needing to pay anything.
I'll also remove previous pics slowly since they are already available in other galleries for free.
Whenever I ask char suggestions and you want to suggest a non-OC character for me to draw, you can suggest them and I may draw such pics after voting on my free time as mentioned before.

You don't need to worry about that, do not missunderstand, Patreon "time" was always intended for me to have free time to draw stuff I like, donations so I have time to draw freely. The only change here is that such art won't be posted here, that's all, since I believe them being locked under a payment is what causes the issue. I'll make the change this month, so maybe once Patrons see how the change is applied it will be less confusing.

2021-02-06 13:56:52 +0000 UTCGot to admit, fan art pics are 95% of what I'm interested in personally and this sounds like it'd Drastically lower the output you'd have when it comes to that kind of content. I mean, your OCs are generally cute and all, but let's be honest, I have no intrinsic "connection" to them or other overriding reason to be particularly interested in them. I don't care particularly much about time exclusivity, you should absolutely use the patreon "time" for such content as well, just don't post them here. Just make a post saying you've created new non-patreon content available on other sites when it happens. Doesn't really have to say where or what it contains. From Patreons side, I can see how the issue is when you post the fanart on here, since they can get copyright claims from actual content owners. But as long as you don't actually post or even link to it, that seems like an impossibility. It's all your decision to make naturally, it just seems like it'll be a rather expensive one in the end.
