I can live with Saiya ending up by herself if she persists like this. I'd rather not see her getting rewarded for her actions by getting someone (Fani) who fulfills every desire on every whim while leaving others to deal with the emotional misery she left them with.

NightFall

Saiya actually has a point, indirectly. It is better if Aika avoids her... and Tessa.... and basically everyone really.

I'm glad it does, but then you'll probably don't mind this; i'm still confused on how we're supposed to interpret Saiya as a character. On one hand you seem to agree that Saiya is a terrible person who'se only option to a better life is commitment, which is backed up by Stacy's words that her actions are ridiculous (which Saiya flatout ignores) but also on the other that Saiya has done enough and this isn't just her fault and she's better off giving up? For the last 600 pages the focus has been on Saiya, Aika and Tessa as a love triangle which she spent ping-ponging between and learning nothing. And then in 20 pages, her childhood friend (even though Aika was suggested to be) swoops in, throws that entire dynamic on it's head and offers Saiya a convenient, rewarding off-ramp (i really hope not) so that she doesn't have to pay attention anymore to her closest (girl)friend and the person who'se career she helped partially destroy. I'm probably being premature, but thats how it looks like right now. Maybe we disagree here, but Saiya hasn't done nearly enough to justify convincing herself that what she did was enough. When did she ever thought about saying no and pushing the person away forcing herself on her and setting her boundaries, or just not following the person she knows will prey on her weaknesses? It just seems too easy to me. It doesn't help for the sake of fan-service, but storywise and building character it does. Maybe i'm approaching this the wrong way, but usually these stories show some character progression for a main character. But this seems like a slow burn to a bad ending that subverts expectations. I'm not going to drag this out, but i'm just wondering what your point of view is without ofcourse sharing any spoilerish/crucial details that you cant as a creator.

Love reading the discussion going on here guys! This kind of thing is what keeps me going during tough times thank you so much for engaging πŸ™

I think what makes this so entirely pointless is that if Saiya doubts herself, then she shouldn't be in a relationship with *anyone*. If she is, she'll just make the same mistakes. It means she'll cheat on anyone, anytime. Leaving Aika for Fani just means she's shifting her lack of willpower and lust onto someone else. It's the easy and quick way out because she doesn't want to change for the better. It's a cycle only she can stop. But she's running away instead.

NightFall

Wow, She really has to focus in the positive voices of her mind. Like that K-pop Demon Hunters movie hehe. (Is hard for me tho)
