Really interested in Cindy’s emotion in the first couple panels. To me she looks a little flushed/excited but nervous and sort of muted. Different from her seductive look at the end of the previous page. It’s just one of those things Kip does really well, keeping tabs on where the characters would really be, emotionally. While the reader might expect her to do this with a knowing and seductive attitude, in fact it makes sense to see her a little nervous. Cindy is about to take a risk, doing something extreme. There is a back-and-forth of risk-taking going on between Cindy and Connor. At least that’s how I read it.

On a story and character level it’s awesome that Connor has been let in to her personal world of restraint and permission, and it looks like he’s already enabling her big time. Going to be interesting to see how she feels about this as it proceeds! Once again, it’s so much better thanks to the patient pacing and character development.

this is superhuman level stuffing! honestly did not know cindy’s power level, and the suspense made me dial down expectations to the point that i really thought she was just a lazy person who had candy too many days per week. but *this* is … aggressive. and there’s no way the lasagna is going to be the end of it either. Kip you mad genius……
