Bourbon Chicken

I have been on an Asian cuisine kick lately, and we're kicking it off with this Bourbon Chicken. After playing around with about 7 different sauces, I finally found THE one. And this is it! This dish has SO much flavor, it will surely become part of your regular meal prep rotation.

Just a couple of things to note. You do not have to use bourbon. Any non drinkers, if you don't want to go to the liquor store and buy a bottle, the dish should be fine without it. But I also think one or two of those small shot bottles would be enough for the recipe, so you don't have to buy a full bottle.

Also, you can use chicken breast instead of thighs if you want to lower the calories a little. You shouldn't have to make any adjustments to the cooking process.

As I said, I've been on an Asian inspired kick lately and coming in the next few weeks you'll see a Kung Pao Chicken as well as a Chicken Pad Thai! I will be spreading them out a little so that you guys don't get burnt out on the same types of dishes too many weeks in a row.

Are the macros based on using chicken breast or chicken thighs?

This was so good! My whole family loved it!

This is yummy!! One question - do the macros assume you are eating ALL the sauce? I had a lot more sauce than I felt like I needed.

Anyone cooked these in the crockpot?

The seasonings and sauce on this one were PHENOMENAL.

Thanks!!

Yes. I only do breast as my daughter doesn’t like tights. I’ve made this several times. Delicious!

Can I use chicken breast instead of thighs?

Didn't have bourbon on hand, so I used beef broth instead. I might use less apple cider vinegar next time, but this was really tasty!

I would love to see the sodium info for each recipe

my son LOVES this recipe and he is such a picky eater. Thank you so much Zach!

Yes you can

Hi! Im allergic to beef, could I use chicken broth instead or would that put it way off? Thanks!
