Xenospermia Updates

I think I have a pretty good look sorted out for it, so far. 


When you scan an enemy with your Scan ability, you get to see their stats and a close-up version of their sprite.


This is then saved into your bestiary, which you can access outside of battle. This has lore info about the enemy as well as their typical stats. Enemies get added into your list in the order you scan them.


You can also recruit enemies. This... Turns them into allies! They still retain their behavior, so they target and use attacks just like they would as an enemy. However, you see what attack they use & what their target is, so you can (once per turn) reroll their attack/target.


All of this is possible by breaking all enemy features down into 6 modules (lore, sprite, stats, battle text, loot/bad end, ai. This also lets me dynamically generate random encounters.


This supports alternate sprites (for your player characters), as well as entirely custom sprites (you can theoretically set your own URLs as attack, defend, and so forth sprites.)


I've also chopped up your action/attack/whatever menu into a bunch of modules. You can 'equip' abilities and customize your moveset. You have like 5 action slots and the sixth slot is always pass turn. If you have an ultimate ready or whatever special circumstance, of course the menu adds that extra option and you can scroll a little in it.


Also, some enemies support genital variants (herm or female or such). When the battle starts, the variant is chosen at random. You'll be able to breed your monster allies (if the species makes sense or you have the right items, I suppose) together to make stronger variants. (Either just better stats or entirely new monster/sprite variant)
