I had this idea for a game, it'd be a RPG and whatnot of course, different from Sonderweg/Slime Dungeon since the main char would be more of a blank slate. Since the enemy sprites would be forward-facing and take up the whole screen.
You'd be a master chef in a generic fantasy-medieval-setting, yeah. The nobility extort you into going into this poorly understood parallel world of whimsy, that's full of candy and sweets and whatnot. You're told to go in, get ingredients for some really good food, and leave.
However, the place turns out to be a pretty messed up absolute monarchy where a caste system is heavily enforced. The refined and artfully crafted hand-baked Cakes make up the highest tiers whereas the lowly Candies, who are factory-made and toil in industrial Victorian-style settings, sit towards the bottom. Lowest of all are the Raws, those fruit or vegetable folk that live on the outskirts.
Well anyway I was thinking of writing a story set in the setting (not actually making the game, too much work right now lol). So, I was thinking the premise of the story would be a character from the regular fantasy-medieval-world being abducted to the Not-Candyland and then being turned into a pinata as a sacrifice. Then, well, you know what happens next. I imagine the whole point is a fertility ritual or to create new candyfolk.
Thanks for attending my Ted Talk. So, here's the undamaged sprite for the Gummy Bear enemy, along with a damaged and critically-injured variant for both female and futa versions. There were also green/red recolors but I figured it'd be tedious to upload.
Art by Ano.
