I have been working on an advanced VEX course for the last 5 months, that's 11+ hours, spanning more than 130 videos.
There will be more details in the upcoming weeks, as I am nearing the release, but I wanted to give patrons some sneak peek.
It will be a commercial course, but existing patrons will receive discounts proportional to their lifetime support.
It's a structured course where every single topic, concept and idea is planned in advance with no idle moments, dead space or debugging issues live for what should have been done offline and presented in a clear and concise manner, rather than freestyle talking with little to no editing. Similar to this sort of style (not this content specifically): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHLR287rDRA
That's why even though it's 10+ hours, it's more comparable to a 30-40 hour Houdini course you see online.
It will be full of practical topics that I have used countless times for my shots on my shows (Aquaman, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, etc) , as well as helping other TDs to solve difficult problems.
That's why I don't spend 1 hour to explain what a string is, or how to call a function. It will be assumed knowledge. But whatever is shown will be clearly explained through concept drawings like the one above, and countless other things such as how to read certain papers relevant to the course, analyse, break down equations, and transform them in a way that's applicable to our implementation, and when there is not enough data available to use available compiled tools to reverse engineer their inner-workings, and make intuitive guesses to find solutions to problems.
As always feedback is welcome :)
