Fun little tidbit, when Coulson told Daisy he wanted her to be the new Director and Daisy replied "yeah right, maybe in the comic book version" that was a nod to the actual Marvel comics where Daisy Johnson DID become the Director of SHIELD. They've got a real knack for making these super subtle references that work perfectly and say a lot without taking up too much space for those who wouldn't know. And now, welcome to the next arc of season 4, it only gets better from here :)
