I played the Ace Attorney games many years back! The legal drama adventure series is actually really engaging, and I may have to check out Dual Destinies (where Athena Cykes appears).
Athena is one of the main protagonists of the game, a defense attorney working with Ace. The person chloroforming Athena is Aura Blackquill. Not going to try explaining the backstory, because I don't know it. Her character bio is here: https://aceattorney.fandom.com/wiki/Aura_Blackquill
