2022-09-19 23:56:12 +0000 UTC1) thanks for posting the Vimeo link so some of us can finally see this one! 2) i feel like you guys ‘missed’ on this one. i agree that Rolling Stone, Tangled are better tunes so am ok with your rating but was really hoping you guys would focus on the lyrics and intent. as someone else said, no one can write an F you song like this. plus it was aimed at (no one agrees who) a specific person(s) in the Greenwich Village scene at the time. maybe you have to understand how different Dylan is than most rock stars and see some interviews he has done throughout the years. he is the most honest, no bullshit, f’you and your opinions artist there ever was. it’s so brutally to the point and nasty and personal and specific… and all wrapped up in a cheerful AM radio jingle melody! just brilliant.
