One of my favorite songs this week.
I find this song fascinating for many reasons. Normally I am much more of a melody than a text person (you'd figure, or else I'd have a lyrics channel...) , but for this one the text really stands out. It's actually a tribute to Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. The references to his paintings, and his struggle with insanity is very well captured in the lyrics. The melody sort of guides it along to the end carrying the same simple but catchy theme.
The song was actually the favorite song of 2pac, and it was played for him in the hospital before he died.
