Poll - How burps are written
Added 2021-12-26 20:30:12 +0000 UTCPart of the appeal to kink fics is using words to create imaginative vividness for the reader. The words paint a very clear picture of a scene taking place and that scene is appealing to someone's fetishes. And when it comes to burping, a lot of the times, people like the bluntness of seeing a fierce eructation spelled out. But more and more, I've been veering away from that in my writing to keep the emphasis solely on descriptions.
So, I wanted to run a roll and see what you guys think. Do you prefer the visual of onomatopoeia? Or do you prefer just having the actions described vividly?
Examples:
Onomatopoeia - ""BWWUUUUHHHOOOOOOUUURRRAAAAAAPH!!!!! Guhhh...ohhh man, I'm STUFFED...!" Kirishima exclaimed, slapping his bloated belly heartily after giving a large belch."
Descriptive - "Kirishima punctuated the completion of his meal by letting out a crude, throaty belch that rumbled out for over three seconds. Sighing with relief, Kirishima slapped his belly heartily and said, "Guhhh...ohhh man, I'm STUFFED...!"

If I had to choose between the two I would probably say Onomatopoeia⦠but I definitely think that a blend of the two would be fantastic <3
