Felony Friday - 2 in 1,000

Canada’s justice system has a reputation for leniency…especially when it comes to murder. For better or for worse, the country is well known for reintegrating many violent criminals back into society. The approach is meant to have a compassionate focus on rehabilitation. While recidivism rates of violent criminals reoffending are low, what happens when they do reoffend? Over time, a middle-aged man named Christopher Ward Dunlop from Calgary, AB would become the poster child for this very discussion. But no statistical data, graph, or pie chart could have predicted the horror he would inflict upon two families in the span of just 13 years - when given a second chance.

Sounds like you need a Canadian insider to help request those court documents. Surely one of your listeners lives in Canada & would love to volunteer. I know I would!

100% with Celine, it’s fucked up and wrong and tragic, but also let’s not forget how absolutely messed up the IS judicial system is…
