I'm going to be putting together (unofficial as hell) commentary tracks for ATHF! I'll be getting some of the guys from Aqua Teen together to do commentaries exactly like you'd see on the DVD.

Boston (2008 Version/2015 Leak) Deep Dive

It’s a bomb!... no, it’s a podcast! Today we’re never forgetting 1-31-07 by diving thru the work-in-progress Boston episode from 2007/2008 that was leaked in 2015. We're learning about the real Earl Weaves while also not learning who voiced him. I'm doing my best to explain this confusing plot to you, but it's okay because they changed it up in 2023, big time. To top it all off, ATHF co-creator Matt Maiellaro is whispering some sweet nothings in our ears.... and by sweet nothings I mean behind the scenes info. The Room Patreon Podcast Update

Oh hai,

I hope you like The Room, cuz there's a lot of hardcore podcasting about it coming your way.

On Saturday, Rob (my fav podcaster ever, his podcast isn't online anymore tho, sadly) and I talked about it for 6 hours. And that's not 6 hours of tangents and bullshit. I'm talking 6 hours of the best The Room podcasting that mankind (and several aquatic species) has ever known!

Obviously by the time it's edited down it won't be 6 hours. But I still have 6 hours to edit. Did I tell you it was 6 hours?

Because of that, I'm not entirely sure how this will come together. I wanted to have the episode out on the 27th, but I can't edit all this in time (I'm assuming). So maybe I'll break it into multiple episodes and put the first out on the 27th.

I've watched the film way too many times over the last 14 years and thought I thought every thought there was to be thunked on it. Well I was wrong! We get into some really interesting territory talking about the film and I'm super stoked to get this to you.

If that wasn't enough audio content about a movie you probably don't care about, the plan is STILL to get with Dave Willis to talk about it, too. Dave is busy right now so he can't get together until after the 27th, but as soon as we can make it happen, we will!

Wanted to throw that update your way. I also have other Patreon-only ideas coming. Spring podcast/patreon update

First of all I'M SO SORRY but I can't do a watch party this month!! I'm leaving to visit family tomorrow and editing the Matt Jenkins interview (out on Monday!) took up the last 2 weeks for me. I was hoping to squeeze the watch party in but it didn't pan out.

I figure we could make it up in early May but I wouldn't want to cannibalize attendance for the one later in May. So we'll see!

Regarding the rest of the spring;

The game came out in 2007, right in our current ATHF timeline. I know there are cutscenes in the game that are kind of like an ATHF episode. (I'll eventually edit the videos together into a YouTube video for those who can't catch the live streams. I'll also do a Patreon episode recapping the game and covering it however I can!)

• Expect a Patreon-only episode on June 27th... what exactly, I cannot tell you, it's confidential! Anyway, how is your sex life?

• Boston Patreon-only deep dive episode is tentatively scheduled for July 15th. After that we'll start covering Season 5 proper.

• Our Highlander Nick gets to pick something for me to cover. I haven't heard back from him yet on what he wants me to do, I assume he's still on a vision quest trying to decide. If anyone else goes on a vision quest and sees him, help him out, would ya?

I've noticed some of y'all were once very active in the current Discord, but are no longer. It's okay, I get it, I did the same thing too. So I was wondering if a Patreon-only experience would interest you more than the current Discord situation!

February Update

Hi there,

I wanna rock your body (til' the break of dawn)... uhh I mean I wanna thank you for your continued support while I retool the podcast. This change in schedule and reduction in content has been incredible for my mental health & life in general. I feel like a dummy for not just doing it sooner!

My grandma (unexpectedly) passed away earlier this month, and not being on a weekly content schedule made dealing with that infinitely easier. 

Because of that tho, I had to head to IL and miss out on my interview with Matt Jenkins. We've rescheduled for early March! 

After that I'm gonna get with Dave & Matt to talk about Season 12 finally-- I've been in contact with both of them recently, you'll hear about it on Monday's "Bart Oates" coverage! 

Regarding the Patreon:

I still very much want to do more Patreon episodes, I just can't promise they'll be released on any specific date or within any specific time frame. They'll basically be like the interviews-- "they'll be out when they're out". Having said that, I'd like to get something out in March...

Watch Parties: We're gonna start doing our Patron-only monthly watch parties in March. I'm thinking Friday March 22nd or Saturday 23rd, I'll run a poll later to see what works best for the most people. 

The idea generally will be to watch upcoming ATHF episodes we'll be covering, some other [adult swim] shows airing around that time, movies referenced in ATHF, and movies we talk about during the pop-culture deep dives. 

I'll have a specific schedule for what we'll be watching in March & am open to suggestions :) 

We'll also do ATHF trivia too. Maybe Wayne the Main Brain will show up?

(On a serious note, if we get enough attendance for the watch parties maybe we could get some ATHF cast&crew in there eventually... something I've always wanted to do was make our own "creator commentaries" with the guys talking over the episodes.)
