During the early morning hours of September 1st, 2017, 29-year-old Matthew Phelps dialed 911 in what appeared to be a sleepy stupor. He explained to the dispatcher that he had a bad dream that his wife was dead and claimed that when he woke up, he was covered in blood and his wife was lying on the ground unresponsive. He also told the dispatcher that he had trouble sleeping and would sometimes take a cough and cold medicine to help him relax. But was that really what caused this brutal attack to occur?
