Armageddon
Added 2022-02-05 16:48:01 +0000 UTCIn August of 2015, 40-year-old Vermont mother Jody Herring lost custody of her three children after a tumultuous battle with substance abuse. Born into a horrific family history of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, Herring’s mental health began to show clear signs of deterioration as she promised that an “Armageddon” was nearing. On the morning of August 7th, she did the unthinkable. Herring took a .270 hunting rifle from a former lover and set out with a hit list, which included people she viewed as somehow personally responsible for her own neglectful actions. Jody Herring’s August Armageddon united members of her own family and the Vermont Department of Children and Families in tragedy through one of the state's most horrific spree killings.

2022-07-22 03:19:31 +0000 UTCI am living proof of this too I was in a traumatic relationship relationship Back in the eighties for 8 years with my 1st husband and it was very bad he was very violent in the last few years with him was so bad that I self medicated and became a Addicted to drugs for 2 years and I and I gave my children to my I'll my inlaws to protect them from him and me it was the last same thing I did I Got clean through C thru CSD children services and had a great caseworker and now I have 26 years clean and sober I'm sober and Living proof that that if you do the work and do what it takes and and really want to make it work you can do it I got rid of the X Got rid of the drugs Here I am today 26 years later married to a wonderful man for man clean and silver living a living a extraordinarily wonderful life Thanks to my husband my new husband and you has been and my children and and my caseworker
