Added 2021-08-06 13:44:09 +0000 UTCOn October 25th, 2013, investigators with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by Cal Fire regarding a structure fire they had been called to in Ingot, California. When investigators arrived on scene, firefighters directed them to two bodies in separate structures on the property. It appeared the two bodies had been victims of an apparent burglary which ultimately ended in tragedy, as one of the men had their hands zip tied behind their back. A resident of the property who was not home when the crime occurred, told investigators it appeared that both a shotgun and a safe were missing from his home which housed specific collector items. As days began to pass, investigators had no leads, that is, until just nine days later when they were called to the scene of another fire in which another body was found burned in the back of a pickup truck.
