But he didn’t know that these people were his neighbors, he thought they were demons disguised as human beings sent to take over the world. In this episode we unravel a layered reality involving mental illness, shapeshifters, and fringe conspiracy theories - examining how a case of untreated mental illness forever changed the Canadian bedside community of Fredericton, NB.

I want to clarify that I am not calling the people that are mentally ill and get caught up in these conspiracy theories nutjobs, I am referring to the Alex Jones', the guy behind QAnon, the extremist preachers and pastors as the nut jobs that need to be held accountable. My Mom is schizoaffective, I know mental illness on a very intimate level from the times when I feared for my Dad's and I safety. I'm just grateful she doesn't get on the internet at all...well, except for watching porn, lol...as she doesn't take her medications regularly and could easily be snared into those rabbit holes. She does watch FOX and I am always having to give her the facts about whatever talking points she's parroting.

Anyways, these nutjobs need to be held accountable for the disinformation that they spread that ends up getting people killed. Alex Jones was the biggest voice screeching this craziness before he got deplatformed. Now Q Anon has killed hundreds of thousands with their antivax rhetoric during a pandemic. It's terrifying that some are so far gone that when they caught COV19 would fight with the nurses and doctors trying to save their lives, screaming that COV19 doesn't exist, that they have the flu and the screaming doesn't stop until they're intubated. Sad. So goddamn sad that the internet has become a bullhorn for conspiracy theories and hate instead of knowledge and enlightenment. We are truly living in the real life Idiocracy.
