Meet the Characters: Rilke π±

When we started brainstorming to design the characters, Rilke, Sophie, and Alice were the first we had in mind.
When I write the script, I think it is always necessary to have certain moments that relieve tension and make the reading more enjoyable, and for this I like to use characters involving humor and funny scenes (as happens with the old lady).
Rilke was born out of that need, taking as a reference the animals that appear in the movies accompanying other protagonists (such as Mushu among many others).
Also, if you want to be happier, put a cat in your life!
Rilke is a chubby, grumpy cat with a lot of character. He isn't very fond of humans, but with Alice he makes an exception.
To get that funniest approach, we wanted Rilke to have that kind of cartoonish look, with almost human expressions, but still not speak to avoid the more "magical" look and keep LC's realistic plot.
In the first mood board, which is the one I have put here, we didn't include the "roll eyes" or the "facepalm" faces, but when we put them in the video game we saw that they were totally indispensable expressions (don't you think so? I love it when he does the facepalm π§‘).
Some players have asked me if there will be animal content in LC, and there will not be. I hope that people interested in these aspects can continue enjoying the game even without finding this type of content.
I hope you are prepared to hear him growl often, and if you are nice to him, he might even purr a little for you.
