This is America

46-year-old Houston native George Floyd’s tragic death at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers galvanized a worldwide movement to end police brutality against Black men and communities of color. His frantic last moments were captured by a passing 17-year-old high school student, and were subsequently broadcast around the entire world. Former MPD Officer Derek Chauvin delicately balanced his knee upon George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 horrifying seconds, until his heart stopped beating. Floyd’s murder has confronted every American with a vitally important and timely question: Do Black lives really matter?

Very nicely done! Michael, you showed respect and love for George in a way that hopefully makes his family proud. This is a horrible event that is so senseless from a profession, though human, should be held to the highest standards. This was not a mistake, this was murder and they should be held accountable. Especially Chauvin and Thao. They are pieces of shit that do not deserve one bit of mercy in my opinion! We have to hold the accountable!

Omgeesh...I am listening now and I'm having a really hard time with this. It is so well done (as are all the podcasts I have heard so far from you) that I'm going to have to listen to this in chunks...it's pretty raw stuff. Wow. Awesome job. I've been listening to true crime podcasts for at least 3 years and this is one of my top podcasts. Maybe the best one I've heard in a while! Thanks for doing a great job at communicating the truth in your podcasts! Whew! Good stuff!
