In case anyone was confused about the Jon-Sam interaction, Sam claimed to have been protecting the sage the whole game and Jon had been told by Tilly that she was the sage.

I remember at the start of the BOTC journey with NRB, I had almost no knowledge of the game and several of the roles just confused me. But now, we can watch a game like this, with just chaotic events piling up one after the other, and follow the narrative is so enjoyable. Props to Ben for a great script.

2024-09-03 01:54:53 +0000 UTCMara being brilliant as usual. I love her style of playing Clocktower -- whether as a good or evil player, she works with and relies on her whole team, not just herself. She's the kind of player I'd love to be in a Clocktower town square with. Also, so thrilled for Jon when he nearly got Cera-screwed only to narrowly pull off his Pixie transformation when Mara died just in time, and then see him make the best possible Engineer choice left at that point, without having collaborated to do it. Watching clocktower online really benefits from the dramatic excitment of getting to watch players make clutch choices they may not realize are so huge, and going "YES!" from my side of the screen.

Going into day 3 Blair was the most trusted, so even if they made the Investigator between Dom and Sam it wouldn't have changed anything. If anything, it would have been better to double bluff it, and not make Jon the Drunk but gave him real info.

But I am using more than just one video apology to base my opinion. I'm also looking at the behavior and interactions of the cast especially the female members who on social media accounts seem to be still friends with him and they all know this situation better than any of us do. I suppose I should clarify. Since those here have seen the evidence and know what happened and have heard from both sides then provided the video today was truthful I would like to see him able to come back.

2024-09-02 23:05:27 +0000 UTCAbsolutely, and I respect your opinion, but.. this is all from someone who (at the very least) was way too comfortable lying to their own romantic partner... If they can lie to them, then it's not a far stretch to say they can lie to us. Unless/until proof comes out, then this is just damage control imo. Also, in normal circumstances, I would agree that people should be able to separate their personal and professional life, but the success of this channel is built on the group dynamic, the relationships/friendships, and the personalities of the cast. I don't think it's realistic to say that people can separate the two when consuming this content in particular.
