this technique is soooo much fun! Just try the LiquiGen free 14days trial to see if this is a tool that you want to add to your toolkit:-).
Because this is so powerful, I´ll definitely offer these kind of simulations to my next clients and you should think about that, too.

2025-03-03 15:51:17 +0000 UTCHi Burno, oh actually...I dont know about blenders speed....but that would be slightly dissappointing...maybe make sure that all smoothing operators in blender are deactivated, so its really just the abc without any blender smoothing tools working on it.

2025-02-22 12:00:48 +0000 UTCWell, it looks like liquigen is way faster for most simulations, but its still in alpha. So it´s lacking features and the simulations need some heavy smoothing in Cinema4D to get rid of micro-jittering. X-Particles/Nexus is of course more directly integrated in C4D which comes with several benefits. Its kind of hard to say: Both tools are great, but right now I just LOVE the speed of JangaFX (liquigen/embergen).

2025-02-21 01:08:40 +0000 UTCThis method works really well. I have experiments with liquigen quite a bit but got frustrated with the lack of real viscosity, but you have managed to get a nice sense of it regardless. Nice tutorial!

2025-02-20 16:07:12 +0000 UTCHi Peter, I would love to, but the thing is: I tested this technique with insydium Nexus and its just too slow. I wouldnt recommend it for this technique at the moment. I still love my Insydium tools, but this supernice sheeting/tendrils for the splashes...it didnt work for me.
