SPLASHES Part01

Friends,

this technique is soooo much fun! Just try the LiquiGen free 14days trial to see if this is a tool that you want to add to your toolkit:-).

Because this is so powerful, I´ll definitely offer these kind of simulations to my next clients and you should think about that, too.

Thanks for your support and see you soon, Best

Markus

SPLASHES Part01

Comments

I think I...dont speed it up, no.

markusgonser

Yes, sorry, I understand you arent working with Blender. I was just wondering if you speeded up video or if your reproduction is actually that fast

Bruno Suraski

Hi Burno, oh actually...I dont know about blenders speed....but that would be slightly dissappointing...maybe make sure that all smoothing operators in blender are deactivated, so its really just the abc without any blender smoothing tools working on it.

markusgonser

Hi. I am importing to blender, the playback is 1fps, is C4D that much fast that you reproduce ABC in realtime? Thank you

Bruno Suraski

that worked!! thank you so much

Max Stein

Is there an import window opening up? There you might can change the units from "cm" to "m". Something like that should be what you need.

markusgonser

Amazing tutorial! But my Alembic is not scaled properly when imported back into C4D, it's very tiny, any ideas? Thank you!!

Max Stein

I'll make a note for me here, maybe I try this next week. If I find out, I'll share a lesson.

markusgonser

Hey, do you have any idea how to split 1 droplet into 2 organically. https://prnt.sc/iCUJxhddQNPg

Uba MANNANOV

Well, it looks like liquigen is way faster for most simulations, but its still in alpha. So it´s lacking features and the simulations need some heavy smoothing in Cinema4D to get rid of micro-jittering. X-Particles/Nexus is of course more directly integrated in C4D which comes with several benefits. Its kind of hard to say: Both tools are great, but right now I just LOVE the speed of JangaFX (liquigen/embergen).

markusgonser

Do you have a preference between x-particles vs liquigen? Pros/Cons?

Haruko Hayakawa

Oh, Im happy to hear that you are happy with your membership:-)

markusgonser

Thank you Kev:-). Yes, I totally understand! At first, I was also pretty frustrated with the results but then when I decided to try some more extreme settings, I finally got what I was after.

markusgonser

This method works really well. I have experiments with liquigen quite a bit but got frustrated with the lack of real viscosity, but you have managed to get a nice sense of it regardless. Nice tutorial!

Kev Sutherland

Awesome. Been following your tutorials on YT for years, finally subbed to your patreon specifically for this video on LiquiGen, thank you sir!

Ryan

Ah ok I see, thanks for answering!

Peter Midtvedt

Hi Peter, I would love to, but the thing is: I tested this technique with insydium Nexus and its just too slow. I wouldnt recommend it for this technique at the moment. I still love my Insydium tools, but this supernice sheeting/tendrils for the splashes...it didnt work for me.

markusgonser

Will you show how to create similar splashes using Insydium tools as well? I’m on a Mac so I can’t use Liquigen:(
