The NRB Discord Is Coming!!
Added 2021-11-26 15:14:34 +0000 UTCHello everyone, hope our US Nerbs had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that the rest of you are able to pick up a game or two in the Black Friday sales!
A quick announcement about an exciting thing we’re looking to bring you guys in December. A few of you have sent us DMs to request it and we can confirm, yup, we’re going to be creating a private NRB Discord server just for YOU, our patrons!
Looking for a way to organise gaming meet-ups, talk and play games together online, discuss the latest NRB videos, do BOTC watchalongs, organise game trades and more?! Soon you’ll be able to, once we sort out a bit of admin, namely… moderation.
WrestleTalk ran their own public Discord server for a while and unfortunately a slim few made the process near unbearable. We don’t anticipate that being the case with this server because a) it’s private, b) you’re all lovely, and c) board games are slightly less intense than pro wrestling. Slightly. However, it wouldn’t be responsible to start a server without ANY mods in place, so thats where… YOU come in!
We’re looking for about 5 or so members of the Patreon to offer their services in making sure that the NRB server is a lovely, welcoming place to hang out, ideally mods that cover several time zones (some in America, some in Europe, some in Asia, Oceania for example). You’d be operating under the direction and guidance of our wonderful modmother Jena, and while it wouldn’t be a paid position, we are looking to compensate our mods by giving them the benefits of the first 3 tiers of the Patreon (exclusive videos, discord access, uncut BGCs, a name in the credits) for FREE!!
If you’d like to apply, please DM us on Patreon with your timezone, and any relevant modding experience (not essential, but certainly useful to know) and we’ll get back to you.
In the meantime, in addition to the things mentioned above, what would you like to see included in Discord, what will you be using it for? We’d love to know so that we can create a server that really hits the ground running

I work with Adults with Disabilities and I make very liberal use of board games as a an engagement tool and to work on developing social and criticial thinking skills in a way that feels 'safe' and less anxiety causing for my individuals. So once there is a Discord to make it easy to communicate, expect me to try and pick everyone's brains a lot of advice and suggestions!
