Abstract Sculptures Tutorial 1

Hi Friends,

in this lesson, I will share a really cool technique to get crazy detailed reflections/refractions in your glass materials and just... achieve a very beautiful and versatile look, that you can use in all sorts of projects.

I used this glass technique in multiple client projects and I´m always amazed, how easy it is to achieve amazing looking results.

( Important note: Adjust the "Specular Depth" in the octane settings, to get different looks).

Thanks for sharing!

check "Orthographic" in OC camera tag will be the same as viewport when using parallel camera

Thank you!

I guess, you can use similar settings but of course you just have to adjust it a bit.

Well, in Redshift things are named slightly different. Overall its the same, but of course you need to know the basics of Redshift.

markusgonser

should i use the same settings?

of course. I have the feeling redshift is just a little bit slower with these glass refractions/reflections, but maybe I´m wrong

markusgonser

Can this be done with redshift?

So cool! I was hoping this would be the first one. Watching it today, managed to catch up on the modular video from last month too :D Great stufMarkus! I know it's octane, but hoping I can adjust for Redshift.
