VIDEO PROGRESS UPDATE+FUTURE VIDEOS
Added 2020-08-15 23:44:34 +0000 UTCIf my next big video is not out within a week, something went very wrong. It's a heavy topic and I've had trouble motivating myself to work on it, plus I've been sick and unable to record properly. It's gonna be like 80 minutes long so hopefully the length makes up for it.
After this I am going to work on a few short video ideas I have. These are:
'There is no left case against immigration'
'A few hands-on examples of how to critically engage with the news media' (idk what to title this one lol)
'What is Neoliberalism?'
'Why Sanctions Are Immoral' (need better title)
Each of these should not take more than a week to make each, so I will be able to put them out very fast.
For my next long video I want to make one on the problem of the word 'Genocide' - how it's actually a politically defined term and arguing over whether something is technically genocide often takes the place of reasoned debate over whether the thing was good or bad independent of that. But I may be hit by another idea beforehand.

I would rather see you take longer and have well researched points, coupled with a detailed and in depth discussion on the points than to push out quick, less poignant material. Keep up the good work!

2020-08-19 21:31:44 +0000 UTCNeoliberalism is the anti-state, anti-democracy & pro-corporate deranged fanaticism of the Austrian School of "Economics" distilled into a convincing, "common sense" rhetoric and specific policy proposals capable of garnering mainstream support. That's not a joke, the two most prominent intellectual figures of the neoliberal movement are Friedrich Von Hayek, a former disciple of Ludwig Von Mises that rejected the inapplicability of his mentor's ideas and went for a "pragmatic" solution to keynesian economics and Milton Friedman, himself a disciple of Hayek who continued to distill and simplify neoliberal policies to make them universally applicable.

2020-08-16 20:50:40 +0000 UTCI'd just like to mention in case you're feeling anxious about the video taking a long time: it's okay, don't worry too much about it. I think everyone here appreciates the fact that this is nuanced, well-researched work and that it can sometimes be tedious or take time.

2020-08-16 18:55:59 +0000 UTCI have a question. I was thinking that your rebuttal of what's his fuck about Columbus being an Exaggerated Evil - that video was over an hour. Did that one take this long to put together, or was it less work? Knowing Better. That's right. That's his name.. The most ironic channel name in YouTube history. I lit him up on his response to your rebuttal and he hearted my comment. I don't think he got what I was actually saying.
