Added 2023-11-02 19:33:05 +0000 UTCHello friends. Too much has been a-doin' that I need some time to put thoughts together. But I got some news about god's hands. Nothing too different changing here, but I like to let y'all know that I went and declined my contract renewal with King Features. It was set to automatically do so by March of next year unless I gave them notice 60 days in advance. And, well, I did! God's Hands ain't going anywhere. I still like making these comics. And the nature of putting these online, whether it be here, on another website, or social media, has given me pause in how I want to pursue my work going forward.
As I work more with an agent to get some "This is Fine" official licensing done, it feels more and more important for me to keep my comic work how I want it. Even if it sucks ass, at least I made it suck ass on my own terms. And also I've begun to work on things outside of comics too, so why not let myself have that fun again? Try shit again.
Anyway, King Features got their notice and I still owe them some comics until time's up. Maybe I'll have more thoughts, but nothing I ain't expressed already in that Q&A video from before. And, as always, you'll still get your comics here when I finish with em. But it's a new step forward. I hope it's an okay one.
