The interesting thing is Eijun is finally able to show his body of work. If we really think between the seasons up to this point Eijun started like one or two games. Then there will be games were he pitches an inning or two, and sometimes he wasn't needed at all. From an outside perspective everyone not in the seido circle don't he is a backup. However we seen all his growth and his setbacks, so now watching him succeed really feels good.
I would like to see more sports anime where the mc isn't automatically a starter, and they actually need to take there time to develop. I think Aoashi has the potential. However, i don't think there will be a season 2, and I haven't sat down and read the manga yet.
