Added 2023-01-31 16:22:34 +0000 UTCHello and welcome to a public patreon post where I announce officially that I am taking a couple months break from FOA after the end of this last arc, "Witchwell". In its stead, I will be running old forest animal strips from Gunshow on Tuesdays and Thursdays! These strips are the seed that eventually grew into what Funny Online Animals is today, and I am grateful that Comics Kingdom is giving me the room to run them again and take a breather as I re-asses the strip.
I will be returning to FOA, but I want to take a run at it from a different angle. Never being one to settle, I'm letting the strip grow and change and am already writing outlines of where I want that to go. More serialized nonsense from characters left behind. You will get first access to those here on Patreon, but the rest of you will have to wait til April.
Never been one to keep my hands too idle. I've already been on this proposed "break" and have been doing several things:
•layout out and editing the Pinocchio book
•working out TV pitches and talking to folks
•working up a Book pitch of collected misc. comics
•being asked to do a cover for an anthology
•giving several interviews about that meme what I once did
•reading all the books I've bought and set aside
•petting my cats
•playing video games and visiting my family
•and writing comics even tho I am calling this a break
Well, don't call me lazy. But am I giving myself the room to think about where to go next and I already think I know. But trying is fun too, so I'll be doing that as well.
