The first of the creatures I worked on: the Crystalline Spider
In a web of shimmer and silk, it waits for its prey to approach. Unlike most of its kin, however, the crystalline spider doesn’t feed on organic matter. Instead, this odd arachnid hunts for subtle threads of magic that echo in its glittering exoskeleton. Still, not only wielders of spells and incantation are best advised to treat carefully. Despite its size, the crystalline spider is an exceedingly dangerous foe to face for anyone – brutes, knights and mages alike.
