Splodge of Darkness – Small ooze, unaligned

a splodge made from darkness oozes into the shade.
Where glimmer turns into nothing but gray,
tiny tendrils are wobbling in search for their prey.
Swiftly, the creature will put out all blaze,
and reach for the candles it spots with its gaze.
Sleep tight now my darling and dreams so sweet,
for only a scared splodge will snap at your feet.
