I'm a week late but I personally LOVE the new OP and I'm not even a big fan of the genre. But what pulls me to it and makes me emotional is the song is written from Erens POV of everything. And as Manga readers and to know what's coming makes the lyrics so much more meaningful aswell as powerful!

But the story telling, tonality and the breaks/pauses in a scene are things like you said cannot be captured in reading
