Peep how the eye color changed back to the boys eye color when he ate enough fruit. I think that's because he fufilled the boys wish of wanting to see and eat fruit.

Mushishi is also good, very pretty animation and also has something different happening each episode. Fruits basket you might like the old version or the new version I enjoyed both although the new one is the completed version and follows the manga.
