Something to note about the third years for people who aren't aware: a lot of the time a sports club (or sometimes even regular clubs with a lot of club activities) at a Japanese high school will have its third years retire about halfway through the school year because their upcoming college entrance exams are so grueling. Staying on past that point as a third year is a gamble since your school workload gets super intense, so staying is more the exception than the rule like if your school's team tends to win tournaments or go to nationals In particular in Japan, the college you manage to get into is super important and the workload once you get there can be less intense than what we think about with Western universities. So being able to handle the entrance exams becomes extremely important. Not that spending all your effort planning around how to pass a test is a great thing lol

You know when I first watched this particular episode (Season 1 Epi 25) why they were so upset about losing. Like come on, they're going to win plenty more games and also lose more games as well. They're letting this one particular game get them so discombobulated and it's highkey annoying to me lol. Maybe it's because i don't have a competitor's spirit lol

I used to say that i will never use math outside of high school and college... then now as an adult i regret saying that all i do at work is algebra, geometry and statistics. I didn't chose math it chose me.
