Added 2018-05-17 17:37:34 +0000 UTCthe pod people were an addition to the overall story of crange that I was happy to think up a final use for here, in the end. they are basically celestial pranksters which helps tie in all the weird otherworldly stuff happening too.
i had wanted to do the comic for at least three years and because of that I had thought of three main moments of insight that crange realizes in each new year. basically that 1) you are not alone (referring to bugworld and its interaction with mankind), 2) time is a loop (that sorta turned into more of a spiral), and 3) You are the last Crange.
Each insight corresponded with a story at the end of the year (around april 1st, which was when i officially started the comic). "Crange gets a Drink" "Crange & the Ants" and well, the one we're seeing now. i was really into hiding these in some way and even wrote the first inside in the blog post here, but it's white text on white background. select it with your mouse to find it. I was really annoyingly (to me) into hiding things and setting up events in the comic and it kinda felt lonely to have to wait so long for any of it to pay off.
