Something like this is hard to write a script for. I had things I wanted to include, but how and in what manner do I show them? A lot of this was where I do a second pass of the script and layout at the same time and just give myself the four horizontal panels and see where it goes.
I used to "write" all my comics like that. Directly doodled and wrote the whole thing in a notebook then decide if it worked or not. There were a lot of unused gunshows that were just stuff in a notebook I couldn't work out. Some of those are in the books as extra.
At some point, I needed to get the idea and dialogue part out quicker than doodling out the whole comic, so I moved to typing into text documents, which was nice too cus I started to work digitally more and more. Evernote has become my go-to for all my scripts and stuff. Got that shit on the cloud. SOMETIMES THO, YOU CAN'T BEAT JUST DRAWING IT OUT. I mean, comics bring those two ideas together, writing and drawing. Gotta use em both.
