The scale ale is a quite demanding potion to brew – even among the most exalted and gifted alchemists of Falbheim. The main ingredient – pickled grump drake scales – are pretty hard to come by. Not only do they have to be at least a few decades old, but also be shed naturally during a young drake’s exhaustingly slow growing process. Any scale taken by force immediately loses its magical potency.
