Goneshow

I’m going to stop doing Gunshow at the end of the year. No beating around the bush, right to it. I feel a little lethargic with comics right now so I need a change. So, I’m gonna make that happen. Why the end of the year? Why not. It’s the start of a new year! New things need to happen or else it all gets moldy. Plus I have a story with the office workers I want to get out of the way instead of sitting on it forever and never having it used. So two more months of comics will give me time to do that. BACK and Pinocchio will be continuing. I want to finish those stories. And the figurine idea from before will still happen at one point. That is slowly being worked on. What else… I might still post random one-offs over at Midnite Surprise, but that’s mainly a whatever art/comic blog as it’s always been. And I will still do collections of Gunshow too. After Graveyard Quest is collected, there may be enough for two or three more collections (not sure). But it seems silly to stop collecting them now. But that’s something for later. What will I do instead? I'll let you know cus I want you to know. I wanna do a monthly comic book about the forest animals from Gunshow. The idea I proposed in an earlier post, “Forest Fwends.” I really want to do that, so I’m gonna bug publishers until someone gives in. Why? Why do more print, why do a monthly, print is dead? I agree and yes. But, this is something I've wanted to do for a long time. It may be stupid as hell, but I want to be stupid as hell. I want a dumb monthly comic book with talking animals in it. Maybe I'll succeed. Maybe I won’t. Maybe I’ll give up and just make it as a webcomic. All I know is I got to try cus I need something else to happen around here. And for that to happen, I need to cut Gunshow loose. Just like Droop before it. It helped me grow as an artist and I will cherish that growth. I felt I should be open with y’all on this as you are supporting me on my journey. I’m sorry if this comes as sad news, but I got more up my sleeves. Always got something up there. Do not worry.

thanks for everything dude. I just really really really hope you find an outlet for the twisted and/or absurd ideas you come up with. I like your other comics but my favorite stuff by far is the extremely bizarre, silly, introverted, and/or awful stuff in Gunshow and back in Horribleville. Thinking like <a href="http://gunshowcomic.com/546" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://gunshowcomic.com/546</a> <a href="http://gunshowcomic.com/693" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://gunshowcomic.com/693</a> <a href="http://horribleville.com/d/20080120.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://horribleville.com/d/20080120.html</a> <a href="http://horribleville.com/d/20080713.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://horribleville.com/d/20080713.html</a> <a href="http://horribleville.com/d/20080907.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://horribleville.com/d/20080907.html</a> . Thanks very much for all that and keep it up if you can!

As a fan, I must say it's bitter-sweet but I know it's for the best. Looking forward to what comes next!

Best of luck, dude. I think this is a good move.

I figure there is conservation of comics. You're driven and I don't care what it's called as long as KC Green is doing comics! Just keep us updated on where to look. Good luck, man!

Sarusa

RIP.

Sarah Peterson

Marvin Choi

I'm excited to see what comes next year!

Jo Nothing

Good luck, KC! You're incredibly talented and wonderful and I have no doubt that if you do end up doing a monthly it will be hella good.

Big changes are exciting changes! I'm all for it, man. Archives ftw, but new works are obviously better for you as an artist guy and for us viewers, too. EXCITED TO SEEEEEE

As long as it features Cool Frog I'm down with it.
