[Alternate Text: A small GIF that appears to be from the mid-2000s based on its image quality. It features Kim Kardashian saying: 'It's what she deserves' before smiling smugly to herself, vindictive about something that happened to her. The line itself is often quoted on social media.]
To be fair, I didn't know she's where this meme came from, but it might be relatable to your Returning Visitor where the corrupted spriggan is concerned! π² The struggle at the end of the first book ends with the treeture dissolving into ash; however, just how it dies is up to you! Some MCs let J carry out the spriggan's ultimate demise, while others might wish to do it themself.

The JR variant of the scene where J kills the spriggan was really where the JR route was cemented as my favourite, I absolutely loved it

2024-09-12 17:04:32 +0000 UTCWhen I first played the game, January was barely formed in my mind. A little baby MC who didn't have any backstory or strong personality. I choose the flare gun kill because it felt right. Subsequently, Jam started taking the flask instead of the flare gun, so I started killing the spriggan with Marjorie's lighter. Why waste the alcohol... P.S. I read all the options - but it's when I got COVID, so my memories are not good of those choices.

2024-09-12 14:16:49 +0000 UTCAh yes.... the fateful night Alex killed it with the lighter (they didnt pass the cruelty check but they still chose the cruelest option to go with it π€) Their merciful/cruel stats is nearly 50/50, it only leans a bit more towards mercy While they would have some moral qualms about injuring an innocent person, the spriggan isnt a person It killed their grandfather (they have some conflicting feelings on it), its threatening their lives and most importantly the lives of the people they care for (it hurt Reese and for that alone it would have to go. Not that theyre admitting it) Therefore the choice to kill it was simply a non-choice. It had to go, plain and simple. At least they had the choice as to how (an eye for an eye π« π« π« ) Alex baby i worry for you Cant wait to see how the way we kill the spriggan affects the story. Theres no way the ??? is passing up that night as nightmare fuel (It also seems kinda proud about us choosing the cruelest option which 1- hot and 2- extremely worrying)
