Apparently only my MC has the cool ESP & not me because I made zero connection between Dean’s “ability” & the planter incident outside TTP with Alek, I just thought, well that’s was close/got lucky/wait, Reese? is there an ESPADHD route? 😺

2024-08-25 07:26:37 +0000 UTCOh, I adore reading your logic behind pairing the abilities with the romance pathway! 🥰 They will be altering what information you can learn in a given playthrough which can in turn shade or shift certain choices until you go back through the book or explore the options more. Everly's choices might very well vary across the playthroughs depending on what she has learned and whose route she has decided to explore first. :D I'm very 👀 about what you typed in regards to the MC not being the only one with these abilities! This is something that is explored more in Book Two; however, it can be tricky to pin down the connections. There is a new mechanic for you all that I'm honestly vibrating to let you read it; it's in a future chapter. (We've still yet to edit and play-test it!) You do have some solid guesses! 💚 There are two things at work: one can suggest abilities while it's actually more situational, while the other is innate to the person. I grinned at what you typed regarding Mal. ❤😌They are certainly an enigma, though what we've seen so far seems to differ from everything else, which is likely something they delight in. Your Mal-mancer is in for a treat if she can earn their trust and get them to open up; it's delicate, ngl. (Sorry for being vague! I enjoyed reading your thoughts/theories.)

2023-11-15 13:54:59 +0000 UTCThough J’s route is going to be Everly’s canon route I do have plans for her to go through three of the routes at minimum, J’s, R’s, and Mal’s. So fortunately for me there are three abilities I get to try to go along with them. I picked a specific ability to go with each of those three routes, or rather I picked whichever abilities I thought would fit J’s and Mal’s routes best and R got the remainder (sorry R). This ability in particular I have set for my Mal route. Hopefully it helps Everly out with our lovely local walking red flag. All that being said, I have to wonder out loud, the MC isn’t the only one in town with these abilities right? Just off the top of my head Grandpa seems to have had Retrocognition, Marjorie has the Extrasensory Awareness (I think?), and if I recall right there was a thing at the end of book one that seemed to suggest that MC’s father may have also had the Retrocognition? And of course there is whatever is going on with Mal…
