I’m eager to share this glimpse into a section of Book Two that has so far surpassed even my outline with both its word count and variation. Two words that should hopefully spark some joy are: RO excursions. ✨ They are likely more commonly known as ‘date branches’; however, I prefer the use of ‘excursion’ for what’s coming up in TFS because of all that can happen within the branch across different settings, events, encounters (👀), and even moods. Let’s dive into it!

Oh, wow, this brought a lot of joy to me when I saw the email with your comment in my inbox! 💜🥰 There is so much ahead in R's RO excursion, so I will admit I was hoping to see if anything caught your or Naia's eye from the teasers. There are a few choices that made me think of her as I was working on filling the outline; her thought about Angelique would earn a laugh from R along with a quip right back. (I'm tempted to tease a line; I bet Naia will naturally earn it.) The distinction of how she would take on more risk, but then spare R from anything too dangerous is a badass trait, imo. The two of them could engage in some reckless behavior, but the second it gets a bit too dicey, they would both be ready to whisk the other one away. I can tease and say: currently, Naia has the best chance of anyone in all of Fernweh to drive one of the convertibles in R's vintage collection, which is a big deal for them, especially in regards to Angelique's past. (Edit: I hit enter too early, sorry about that! I'm done now. :D) I was hoping R being achingly honest about how they view the MC's return would melt some MCs. I can see how Naia's abandonment issues would cause those words to take on a far deeper meaning. That's partially why I think her dynamic with R is intriguing, not to mention that loyalty--that commitment--that sense of being bound. I won't get too lost in my feelings about it, but they could be such a /powerhouse/ (not 'power') couple. I'm sure R would appreciate the backup on their flaying agenda; they'd be impressed (possibly turned on) that someone is actually matching their intensity once wronged. Ugh, Chani, I'm now further excited for you to realize /why/ R gets so upset during this confrontation. 😎 I know the highly reckless variant is even more high-octane. I fully believe that R and Naia's combined wrath could be more terrifying than some of the things that lurk in Fenrweh; however, their passion for each other would be just as, hmm, alarming in a far different way. I'm glad you're both missing R. Thank you for your comment. I hope things are going well with you and yours irl. Take care. 💐

2023-06-01 21:07:13 +0000 UTCI meant to comment on this sooner (and actually thought I had, but such is my life of late). This is 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦. Naia is always up for anything dangerous, and she probably has a bit less sense about it than Reese would, though she wouldn't jump into anything that put 𝘩𝘪𝘮 in too much danger (a little, yes, because it's fun, and I'd love to see his reaction to her driving, which is a bit more daredevil than his, even). An odd thought of hers passed through my head after the comment about Angelique (teasingly, "I'm almost jealous of your car..."). The comment about her being what makes the difference... well, cue melted Naia. Possibly a bit choked up, given her abandonment issues, though she'd quickly try to squash that. Seeing him angry about whatever has him angry would have her ready to help him skin the targets of his ire. She's nothing if not loyal. And you know how much I love R's brand of protectiveness. It matches Naia's all too well. Having the two of them go after someone would be a frightening prospect for that person, and an awesome one to see. 😈 I can't wait to see all this! I miss Reese (and so does Naia!).

2023-05-31 18:10:19 +0000 UTCOoh, I know R would be smitten over earning a melty reaction from you, if not a little smug, but mostly endeared by it. 😎 I hoped to tease some of the key points without spoiling all of the goodness, since there's a lot in store within their night ride RO excursion.😘 You nailed the contrast between J and R's protective styles; while both are devoted to the MC, they go about it so differently, even with differing codes of honor/implicit rules of engagement. 'No hesitation' reminded me of a certain audio clip that fits with R, lol. I'm glad that you enjoy the contrast between their Verner elegance and how they are ready to go all in for the MC, consequences be dammed. 👀🖤

Sparrow and R would have cute, reckless dates with J totting the first aid kit and being ready to to pick one up should a fall occur (...or hold one back. I can vividly see this. 😌😂)

J is very much the stoic, silent protector, whereas R will very vocally throw down, no hesitation. It's kinda nice to see them get fired up behind that prim and proper front!
