Hi Everyone,
I suspect that the topic of this post might have many of you intrigued! :D I’m willing to admit I was raring to go while typing it since J’s necklace has significance that I can’t wait for you all to see creep up within the story, especially for befriended MCs and those on the J or JR path.
Let’s get into why it’s important by first looking backwards:
Receiving the friendship bracelet reminds you of something from your childhood: J’s hand being wrapped up in fine chains like they were showing you a metal-encrusted snake.
It's a dim memory, but not a bad one…

I'm so glad that you enjoyed this extra insight on the charms, though I must admit that I'm loving learning more about your MCs' charms. Given Naia's reckless tendencies, I think the sword charm fits perfectly with her, especially what you shared about how she wants to safeguard those who are allowed to get close to her, considering all that's happened in her life. The partners in crime charm is one of my favorite charms due to its irony given J's role within the town. XD Oh, there are plenty of clues sprinkled throughout the alpha; this will continue into Chapter 1. I'm glad that you enjoy playing to seek them out, and I find your mention of the Doppel connection to be very promising in addition to those ~vibes~. 🔎😉 If I may make a suggestion, see what happens when you make your past crush not match your current RO route. J tends to tug (or shred) on the heartstrings; I was hoping you would see that Tumblr post! 💔 I can certainly see Sparrow being the sword given how he seems fierce (like his mom) but also such a deeply caring person for his loved ones. You're exactly right about how J tends to soldier through things or endure rather than instantly strike back or parry; this stems from their childhood to a degree. Hunkering down and weathering felt safer to them. Hmm, I think R would pout a bit about not being a bladed weapon. XD You know those shield that have spaces for two swords to slow into to create an 'X' type of thing? I think R would have the charms altered by a master jewellery maker so that they can have a rapier/blade that fits with the set. ⚔ Ugh, I'm soft over imagining Sparrow and J playing together as kids--the lack of hesitation and how I bet J went a little wide-eyed as if spooked, but they also went along with it, touched at being included. I would love to see Sparrow try to tackle hug J now; that would be adorable. XD R would also be melting over it, except they would legit tackle Sparrow back, while J may pretend to be 'tackled' for Sparrow's benefit or pick him up. 🥺😌 Lol, J would certainly not let him play hide and seek at night, even if I must admit that it's more fun at dark. 2023-05-20 12:48:56 +0000 UTCOooh, that is so cool! I noticed that J picked last both in his friend route and in the romance route. Naia (friend route with J and romance with R) was the sword and J was the shield, which fit so well, given J's protective nature and Naia's tendency to run straight into battle without thinking. Reina (J's romance route... I think this will stick, I'm not sure yet for.. reasons) picked the partners in crime charms. I'm not sure this will remain, simply because my characters are having some issues and driving me crazy, lol. I love the Doppel connection, too, and noticed the charm was on her. I need to go back and replay the alpha to see if I can pick up some more clues. Given Doppel's behavior, I've really been considering her--for lack of a better word, origins. Given the snake eating the tail, the MC's obviously unreliable memories, the strange things going on with time, and her little comment about Naia not being the original, I'm getting some vibes. Very cool vibes. >:-)

STOP IT (don't actually stop I love the hurt)! 😭😭 I picked the sword and shield because IT FITS THEM BOTH REALLY WELL LIKE! J OBVIOUSLY SUITS THE SHIELD AS A PROTECTOR!! Sparrow definitely also fits the sword! As sharp and cutting as he can be when someone hurts someone he cares about. BOTH CAN BE USED TO PROTECT AND DEFEND! J suits the shield also, feel like they're willing to take blows/words while Sparrow would strike back! PARRY I SAY!! 🗡🛡⚔️🤺 Wonder what R would be? A bow? Crossbow??? ANYWAYS Sparrow losing it to the house fire because OF COURSE HIS PARENTS, HOME, VIOLIN AND ALL THAT WASN'T ENOUGH!! 😭 I adore thinking about Sparrow, J (and R) as kids, wrote a silly fan fic about them playing in the snow together once! I'm picturing Sparrow and J's first meeting with like Sparrow just straight up running to them and dragging J off to play, no hestiantion when becoming friends. Little Sparrow running off, J following to stop Sparrow from hurting himself, refereeing Sparrow and R's competitions! Sparrow tackle hugging J (he can't do that anymore 😭 he's to short now), hide and seek at the farm, J not letting Sparrow play hide n seek in the forest in the middle of the night. SILLY BIKE RIDES AND TREE CLIMBING! BOTH OF THEM BEING PROTECTIVE IN THEIR OWN WAYS!!! SOBBING MANY MANY CUTE THOUGHTS!!!
