I really can’t say more just yet, but I will tease and mention that you can get a hint of this shift early on in Book Two. (Also, it won't be as big of a shift if in romance or high friendship paths!)
I’ve been waiting for this arc within the dynamics with B to show their depth after having built up the loyalty and consideration in Book One. Just what will this mean for them and the MC? The angst can be soothed; it can turn into hurt/comfort or other things, so don’t worry or stress about that, especially B-mancers, but I’m sincerely excited to let you address this development.
Many of you seem to have a soft spot for B. 🥰

Ugh, I'm simultaneously like: 'yes!' and '*softly* no', but this is a feeling I was hoping to foster in readers. B's coping with being stuck is really two-fold because it's also a matter of their feelings towards the MC as well. Is there any blame (possibly some guilt for even feeling that), or is it just a bad situation? Hmm. 👀 It will be interesting. I'm glad that you're concerned for them. 🥰
