2020-05-28 15:39:21 +0000 UTCIts a good show, the concepts are amazing, but whoever is directing it isn't doing it for me. Every scene looks like something out of a Shakespeare play. Character standing near each other idle, people waiting for each other to talk about morals, the directionality of everything. It might have worked great in a manga but I don't think they've translated it well here. This entire testing facility is made up of the bridge, this one floor with pillars and the spiral stairs, that's all we've seen. Every scene is disorienting in terms of location, especially if it's inside. Endorsi is meant to be extremely strong compared to the other characters, but there's no 'weight' to anything from her, I only know she's strong because the show tells me she's meant to be from her status. The art, music and world building are amazing though, I hope they manage to improve later on with further seasons, since everyone hypes it up to be stellar.
