If u look at it all from a scientific approach then Goku shoulda blown his arm off in original dragonball. If u have the force to destroy a wall that same amount of pressure is brought back on ur joints. Just gotta keep up the suspension of disbelief. A show called Hitman Reborn does some good stuff with a similar flight propelling maneuver, and is also a good fun show after the first 12 episodes if u ever need something chill to watch.
