Man I love rewatching this series cause you notice intricate things that you wouldn't notice on the first watch. Like at 20:29, you see Reiner has gone full belief that he is one of the scout soldiers, and you see Bertolt like nervously looking at him.

Unlike most anime's where they claim the manga writer assists with it (whereas in actuality the writer just focuses on the manga and hitting his deadlines, while just letting the studio handle the anime), Hajime Isayama literally is in the production studio sitting by the voice actors and telling/correcting how he wants his characters portrayed and conveyed. The anime is like his final draft.
