FAMILY MEETING-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mid‑Year Update and What’s Next.

Hi everyone,

Allow Me to Introduce Myself

—let me start off by formally introducing myself. I’m Jaye, a 26‑year‑old Black creator from Texas who has been playing The Sims for as long as I can remember.

What started off as just a fun hobby took a turn last year when I broke my ankle and suddenly had a lot more time at home while ALSO grieving the loss of my dear Father. (I miss you soooooo much Dad. This is all for you) What began as me creating for myself quickly turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Now, this little passion project has grown into a space where I get to create, share, and represent so many voices—including mine and yours—in the Sims community.

I wanted to take a moment to step back and talk to you directly about everything going on behind the scenes here at JayeSims. July has been a huge month for us—so many new mods have dropped and the response from this community has been amazing. Your excitement and support truly keep me going.

And we’re not slowing down. I’m currently working on 7 custom career commissions for patrons who wanted something built just for them. At the same time, I’m in the middle of prepping 10+ new releases for August, while also finishing up the last 2 releases for July.

On top of all that, I’m actively updating previously released mods to keep everything running smoothly with the latest patches.

I’m sharing all of this because I want you to know there’s a lot happening behind the scenes—and I want to be transparent with you. This isn’t just a page where mods drop; it’s a community, and I want you to feel included in the process.

We’re also just shy of 9,000 family members in this community, and I can feel it—August is going to be even bigger than July.

On top of all that, I’m deep in production on my app, NEXTGEN SIMS. That’s another big step forward to give you even more tools and experiences to enjoy.

This is fun, this is real, and it’s also a lot of work. I appreciate your patience as I balance creating, updating, and keeping up with your requests. Your trust means everything, and I’m excited for you to see what’s next.

I’ve also made some updates to keep everything consistent for you all:
• New response times: I typically reply after 5 PM CST and before 9 AM CST on weekdays, with more open availability on weekends.
• New mod release time: All new mods now drop at 12:00 AM CST, setting a clear schedule and bringing back that midnight release excitement I’ve always loved.

As we keep growing and building together, here’s what I ask from this amazing community:
✔️ Understanding, patience, respect, love, and fun.
✔️ If you see someone struggling with a download or having trouble understanding how something works, feel free to help them out—especially if you know the answer.
✔️ If you see someone being rude or out of line, speak up and call it out respectfully. We handle things with honesty but always with respect.

We are a family here. Even though I’m the creator, think about how this space is bringing all of us together.
